Terms of Service
Last updated: September 30, 2026
Acceptance of Terms
DomainLens Pro ("the Service") is operated by Aegyrix LLC ("we", "us"). The Service includes the DomainLens Pro apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac, the web app at domainlenspro.app, the DomainLens Pro browser extension, and the DomainLens Pro API. By using any of them you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Description of Service
DomainLens Pro checks the security posture of internet domains using publicly available information: DNS records, TLS certificates and configuration, security headers, email authentication, registration data, reputation lists and similar signals. Scans run on your device where possible; checks a device or browser cannot perform run on our servers.
Accounts
- Many features work without an account. Signing in (Apple, Google, Microsoft, GitHub, a passkey or an email code) adds synced scan history, sharing and the browser extension.
- One person, one account. Do not create accounts in bulk or to get around limits.
- You are responsible for activity under your account, including signed-in browser extensions and their API tokens. Keep tokens private and revoke any you no longer use.
- You can delete your account at any time, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Permitted Use
- The Service is intended for lawful security review, IT administration, research, education and personal use.
- You may check domains that are publicly accessible on the internet. Our checks are the kind any visitor or mail server performs; they are not penetration tests.
- You are responsible for making sure your use complies with the laws that apply to you.
Fair Use and Scan Limits
Every scan sends real requests to the site being checked. To keep DomainLens Pro fast and fair for everyone, and to make sure it can never be used to flood someone else's website, scans are limited. The current limits are:
- Per account: 120 fresh scans per hour and 600 per day. New accounts get half of that during their first 24 hours.
- Per network: 240 fresh scans per hour from one IP address (or IPv6 /64 network).
- Per website: repeat requests for the same site within 30 seconds share one scan, at most 180 fresh scans per hour of one registered domain including its subdomains (90 from one account), and at most 240 per hour of one server address.
- Apps: the iPhone, iPad and Mac apps apply the same hourly, daily and per-site limits on your device.
- New accounts: at most 3 per network per day.
Viewing results, history, comparisons, exports and share links does not count toward these limits. When you get close to a limit we show a warning; when you reach one, fresh scans pause until the time shown. We may adjust these limits to protect the Service or the sites being scanned, and the numbers on this page are the ones in effect.
Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to attack, overload or disrupt any system, including repeatedly scanning a site to generate traffic against it.
- Get around scan limits or other protections, for example with multiple accounts, rotating networks or automated sign-ups.
- Automate the Service, use an API token outside the official DomainLens Pro browser extension (for example in scripts or other tools), or scrape the web app.
- Conduct unauthorized penetration testing or use results to attack a system you are not authorized to test.
- Use share links to present altered or fabricated results as DomainLens Pro reports, or to mislead others about a site's security.
- Violate any law, or harass, abuse or harm any person or organization.
- Reverse-engineer the Service beyond what applicable law permits.
Enforcement
We may slow down, pause or refuse scans, revoke API tokens or share links, and suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put the Service or other sites at risk. API tokens used outside the official browser extension are revoked. Where we can, we will tell you why.
Share Links
A share link lets anyone who has it view that report until it expires or you revoke it. Shared pages say whether a report was produced by DomainLens Pro's servers or by your app. Only share reports you are comfortable making visible to the people you send them to.
API and Browser Extension
The DomainLens Pro API is available only through the official DomainLens Pro apps and browser extension. It is not a public API: there are no developer tokens, and automated or scripted use of API tokens is prohibited. The browser extension receives its own API token when you sign in; that token works only in the extension, uses your account and counts toward your limits. Tokens used outside the extension are revoked. You can see and revoke your extensions' tokens at any time in the web app under Settings, Connected Extensions.
Third-Party Services
Scans query public services such as DNS resolvers, registries and certificate transparency logs. We are not responsible for their availability or accuracy, and their use is subject to their own terms.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- Scan results are complete, accurate or current.
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of vulnerabilities.
- Results constitute professional security advice or a complete security assessment.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aegyrix LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on scan results, actions taken based on findings, or inability to use the Service.
Intellectual Property
DomainLens Pro, its software, design and content are owned by Aegyrix LLC. You may use the Service as these Terms allow; no other rights are granted.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. Changes are posted on this page with a new date. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA.
